About the Artist
Susanne Keller
is primarily a self-taught artist living and working in
Illinois.
She was born in Germany and her family immigrated to the
United States when she was still a child.
Susanne has been involved with art in various forms for most
of her life although not professionally. In the early 2000’s she
once again turned to life as a professional artist. Since that time
she has received numerous awards and accolades for her work, both
locally and nationally. Although
the majority of her work is in oil, Susanne also creates works in a
variety of other medias including wood, paper, watercolor, and
colored pencil. Susanne takes many of her ideas and subject material
from subjects close at hand and is particularly adept at the
depiction of animals and people.
